Michael MacGregor is the Founder of IncubEx and served as its Chief Executive Officer from inception, leading the company’s strategy and the development of its global environmental markets platform. Under his leadership, IncubEx established key partnerships with the European Energy Exchange (EEX), Nodal Exchange, and Trayport (a TMX Group company), helping to create one of the market’s premier offerings for environmental and voluntary carbon products.

Previously, MacGregor was Managing Director of the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (CCFE), where he led the launch of the world’s first exchange-traded environmental derivatives in 2004 and played a key role in expanding participation in the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), the first voluntary, legally binding greenhouse gas emissions trading system.

Following the acquisition of Climate Exchange PLC by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), he led ICE’s global environmental products portfolio and directed incentive strategies across the company’s full suite of offerings. In this role, he worked closely with industrial participants and trading firms to drive adoption and market growth across ICE’s energy and environmental markets.

With more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of environmental policy, market innovation, and commodity trading, MacGregor brings deep expertise in designing and scaling markets that advance climate objectives and support the global energy transition. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
